for the
2015 Cape Cod Oldtimers Longboard Classic

Thank you everyone for making the 2014 Cape Cod Oldtimers Longboard Classic a great day. It is always special to see old friends and meet new ones.

For those of you that couldn’t make it we had a beautiful day. The waves were perfectly glassy do to an extraordinary amount of MUNG. The MUNG was stacked up over a foot high at the tide line on the beach and out in the water the waves were breaking like chocolate milk shakes. It didn’t smell like chocolate though.
Every one that surfed took advantage of the pristine glassy conditions to get in the occasional brown barrel and wear the MUNG as a “Badge of Honor”.

We were also treated to a beautiful full moon rise at the end of the awards presentation.

A special thanks goes out to The Pump House Surf Shop for making signups go as smoothly as possible considering the Oldtimer’s bumbling disorganization this year.
We would also like to thank Kaleidoscope Imprints for getting this years design translated into ink on some great colored shirts.
Thanks also goes to Cranberry Print Marketing Partners for always printing the posters and trophies.

Thank you team photographer Justin Bourassa, his photos will be up on the web soon.
Our signup/t-shirt gals, Kirsten Leary, Megan Kisling, Lauren Leary, Abby Peterson and Caitie Peterson deserve extra kudos for keeping the excited crowd at bay.

All of the results will be posted on the website tomorrow.

And lastly, for those of you that did not stick around to get your trophies they will be available for pickup at the Pump House tomorrow.

Again, thank you everyone.

Old boards on the beach

If these boards could talk imagine the stories they would tell.

And remember, just beginning? No Problem.

We encourage surfers of any ability to sign-up and give it a try. The contest is all about surfing, friendship, family and most of all fun.

Stay healthy, stay in touch and get in the water.
